My name is Corey Maxwell, and I am a Graduate Electronics Engineer at AVIRE. I hold an MEng in Electronic and Information Engineering from Imperial College London.
I joined AVIRE on 1 September 2026, although my first experience with the company came during my third year at university, when I took part in a group consultancy project with AVIRE. This introduced me to the safety and emergency communications industry and gave me an insight into the work the company does. I was particularly drawn to the opportunity to work in R&D, where I could continue my professional development while contributing to projects that have a positive impact on people’s everyday lives.
What excites me most about my role is creating solutions to problems with interesting and challenging constraints. I enjoy the process of working through these challenges and finding practical solutions.
So far, I have been working on improving audio quality testing procedures, and I’m looking forward to gaining more experience across a range of different projects.
