Held on 11–12 June 2025 at ExCeL London, LIFTEX 2025 brought together over 4,400 professionals from more than 40 countries. With over 100 exhibitors, the event offered a valuable opportunity to discuss safety, compliance, innovation, and customer needs in a rapidly evolving sector.
MEMCO by AVIRE was among the exhibitors, showcasing our range of safety and communication solutions that address challenges faced by building owners, facilities managers, and lift engineers.
“The incredible energy and engagement across both days brought together the entire vertical transportation ecosystem with one shared mission: making our industry safer, smarter, and more efficient,” noted Oliver Greening, Director, LIFTEX.
The AVIRE stand attracted a steady flow of visitors from across the UK and internationally. A key feature was a live programming challenge, where participants were invited to configure both digital and analogue emergency phone systems using the AVIRE app. This hands-on demonstration highlighted the speed and ease of configuration. The fastest digital device setup was completed in just 45 seconds, while the analogue device was programmed in only 16 seconds.
AVIRE’s analogue solution (PSTN-based) remains fully compatible when used with a GSM gateway, offering a simple and reliable option for many sites. The digital autodiallers operate on GSM and are designed for full integration with the AVIRE Hub, enabling remote monitoring, configuration, and diagnostics.
“Honestly thank you guys so much, it was a pleasure talking to you and it was lovely to get the full extent of the brand and equipment that you deal with and of course to get interactive with the competition,” commented James Searle, Repairs/Installations Manager, United Lift Services, one of the competition winners.

Throughout both days, John Jackson, Andy Wood, Oscar Martin, Matt Davies and other members of the AVIRE team were on hand to speak with visitors, lead product demonstrations, and answer technical questions. Their efforts were supported by the wider marketing and technical support teams, who helped deliver a well-organised and impactful presence at the show.
In one particularly memorable moment, a visitor became so immersed in the experience that he unplugged the MEMCOM+ from the demo wall and began pretending to make a call.
“He picked up the unit and said, ‘I’m just calling my mum!’,” said John Jackson, AVIRE’s Country Sales Manager for Northern Europe. “Moments like that are what make these events worthwhile. It was spontaneous and light-hearted, but it also reflected genuine interest and connection with our products.”
Solving Common Customer Challenges
Many visitors arrived with clear technical concerns, and AVIRE’s demonstrations focused on providing straightforward, practical solutions. Several attendees highlighted ongoing issues with outdated infrared door sensors, particularly their tendency to trigger false alarms due to light or shadow. AVIRE’s radar-based 3D protection, integrated into Panachrome+, was presented as a more accurate and robust alternative for wider doorways and complex landing environments.
Others were navigating the UK’s digital switch and searching for systems that could streamline their operations. AVIRE demonstrated how its cloud-connected solutions, including the DCP, autodiallers and AVIRE Hub, enable remote monitoring, programming, and fault diagnosis. These capabilities are especially relevant for customers managing multiple sites and looking to reduce the need for on-site servicing.
Compliance also remained a key topic. Discussions focused on meeting EN 81-28 and EN 81-70 standards efficiently and at scale. AVIRE products are designed with these needs in mind, supporting quick installation, intuitive configuration, and long-term serviceability.
“Visitors told us they were looking for reliable, scalable systems that don’t require constant site visits,” said John. “We were able to show them how our connected products directly address those concerns.”
Value in Exhibiting
Face-to-face interaction continues to play an important role in understanding customer needs. Over the two days, AVIRE held conversations with managing directors, consultants, engineers, and project leads. These interactions helped uncover specific customer goals and led to several qualified leads.
In addition to product exposure, exhibiting at LIFTEX 2025 enabled the AVIRE team to gather real-time market insight and share ideas with peers from across the sector.
“Exhibiting is not just about visibility,” said John. “It gives us the opportunity to listen, explain, and support the industry as it evolves.”
