My name is John Jackson, and I’m the Country Sales Manager for the UKI, Scandinavia, and Benelux regions.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve held senior leadership roles in several market-leading technology OEMs, covering areas such as vision systems, AI, automation, networking, and communications. This experience has given me a broad understanding of different technologies and how they can be applied to solve real-world challenges.
I joined AVIRE in March 2022. What attracted me to the company was its strong ethos and mission to connect and protect people. I was also excited by the opportunity to work at the intersection of several evolving technologies, telecoms, cellular, cloud, and automation, all coming together to create smart, reliable solutions.
I started at AVIRE as European Director for Sales and Marketing, a role I held for the first year and a half. Since then, my focus has shifted more specifically to Northern Europe, which is undergoing some major transitions, including the digital switch and mobile network sunsetting.
A highlight of my role is the variety, no two days are the same. I particularly enjoy the interaction and collaboration with both our internal teams and our customers. Working with customers gives me the chance to really get to the heart of what they need and help translate those needs into future-proof technology solutions that make their emergency communications more resilient.
I think what customers value most about working with us is the depth of knowledge we bring, particularly when it comes to navigating complex technology landscapes and understanding how to apply the relevant regulations.
One example that stands out for me was helping a large portfolio building owner to visualise and monitor all their national elevator assets. We provided a solution that enabled them to receive dynamic alarms for any issues, which really enhanced their visibility and responsiveness across the portfolio. It was rewarding to see how the right technology could make such a tangible difference.
