ISO14001: Environmental Management

All Avire factories are certified (Czech Republic, Singapore) or working towards certification (China) to ISO 14001.

IS4001 is a family of standards related to environmental management (EMS) which exists to help organisations minimise how their operations negatively affect the environment and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements.

ISO18001: Occupational Health and Safety

ISO 8001 is an internationally applied British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems (OHSAS). This standard exists to ensure that organisations put in place sound occupational health and safety performance.

CE

The CE marking (also known as CE mark) is a mandatory conformance mark on many products placed on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking certifies that a product has met EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements. CE stands for conformité européenne, French for “European conformity”. By affixing the CE marking to our products, we declare that they meet EU safety, health and environmental requirements.

FCC Certification

For the United States. All commercial electronic devices (unintentional radio-frequency radiators) sold in the United States are regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) if they:

• employ clocks or oscillators
• operate at a frequency of greater than 9 kHz, and
• use digital techniques

This includes almost every product that contains a microprocessor. If an unintentional radiator is not controlled through proper design using grounding and shielding, the result may be high levels of energy radiated or conducted from the equipment causing unwanted effects upon another device.

CSA

The CSA C/US mark signifies that the product meets applicable U.S. and Canadian standards, including those from CSA, CSA America, ANSI, ASME, ASSE, ASTM, NSF and UL. CSA Marks appear on over one billion products worldwide. Each mark tells you that an authorized testing laboratory has evaluated a sample of the product to determine that it meets applicable national standards.

Safecontractor

Avire Trading Limited is committed to the welfare of its staff and clients and has accreditation from Safecontractor for achieving excellence in Health & Safety. This third party accreditation recognises very high standards of H&S management amongst UK contractors.
