Call Director Systems

The JANUS® Call Director System is a centralized communication solution designed to manage and route emergency calls from multiple elevator phones. By consolidating elevator communication onto a single phone line, the system simplifies infrastructure while ensuring reliable, code-compliant communication between passengers and responders.

At the core of the system is the EMS5 Call Director, which automatically routes calls to designated emergency contacts and announces the caller’s location to improve response accuracy. This centralized approach reduces the need for multiple dedicated phone lines while providing consistent and dependable call handling across the building.

The system can be expanded with master stations located in the lobby or machine room, allowing responders to monitor and communicate with elevator passengers from convenient access points.
