The Smart3D Sensor is our innovative solution designed to meet ASME A17.1 – 2019 requirements for detecting approaching objects in the landing area. Its patent-pending design significantly reduces the common issues with traditional 3D technology: reducing the false triggers caused by reflected light or flooring, stationary objects, dark clothing, and cross traffic. Our Smart3D Sensor can be used independently or combined with our Safety Edges for complete door coverage.

The Smart 3D uses microwave radar technology which results in a significant reduction in these three main causes of false triggers:
- It is not affected by reflected ambient light
- The sensor is able to ignore stationary objects within the 3D zone while still detecting approaching objects
- The sensor can discriminate between people passing through the 3D zone from the sides and people who are approaching the doors
