The Avire Americas team is looking for a highly driven, highly motivated individual to take us to new heights. In this role, you understand all facets of our accounting functions and participate in daily and month-end close processes. You work with our internal finance team as well as procurement, customer service, shipping, IT, production and our colleagues across the globe. Your knowledge helps us review current processes and consider new ways of doing things to improve quality and efficiency.
The senior account plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization and supporting strategic decision making through insightful financial analysis. You will work to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and supporting strong business relationships. This position reports to the US Controller.
What you will do:
- Accurate and timely completion of workpapers and documents.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
- Overseeing and preparing financial statements.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting and financial regulations.
- Always be looking for ways to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
- Assess risk and evaluate mitigation opportunities.
- Offer guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
- Credit manager responsibilities including evaluation of credit worthiness and working with customer service staff.
- Oversee cash application process.
- Oversee Avalara sales tax process and reporting.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively solve problems

- Knowledge of GAAP
- ERP experience with knowledge of D365 helpful
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Experience with MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Detail oriented with a quality-driven mindset
- Financial statement preparation experience
