Tyler Newsom

Managing Director

Tyler joined Avire in 2021, having worked for another Halma company, Apollo America, for the previous 4+ years. Prior to joining Halma he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and BorgWarner in accounting and operational leadership roles. He has a degree in Economics and Management from Albion College with a specialization in Accounting. Tyler enjoys working for Avire because of the global nature of the business, the diverse cultures, and the unlimited growth potential.

Adam Sykes

Sales Director AsiaPac

Adam joined Avire in 2011 and has worked in Sales and Marketing roles in the UK, Australia and South East Asia. He has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of West of England and an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney. Adam enjoys travelling and learning about different cultures around the world. His favourite thing about working at Avire is the ability to be reactive in each market, whilst also having the advantage of being part of a larger group.

Jan Doubal

Operations Director

Jan started work at Avire (formerly Memco) in 2005, having previously been both Operational and Managing Director of factories in the Czech Republic and Romania. He has two degrees, one in Civil Engineering from Prague Technical University and the other in Coal Mining! Jan enjoys working at Avire because of the level of independence and responsibility given across the company.

Kirstie McCormack

Finance Director

Kirstie joined Avire at the start of January 2019, having previously worked for Omnico as European Finance Director. Kirstie is looking forward to working with her global team and colleagues to ensure that the Finance and IT departments can support growth throughout the business. Kirstie has a BSc in Physics from Imperial College London and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).

John Jackson

EUROPEAN SALES & MARKETING DIRECTOR

John joined Avire in early 2022. Prior to joining Halma he worked for Cognex in senior international leadership role for previous 6 years. Previous to this for Weidmuller, Belden & Schneider Electric in sales & management positions. He has an MBA from Loughborough University, with specialisation in Management and is also a qualified Electrical Engineer. John enjoys working for Avire because of the organisational culture, diverse markets served & contributing to increasing the safety of building users, through the technology solutions offered.

Shelly Gagen-Block

Vice President, Talent & Culture

Shelly joined AVIRE in 2022 is based in Wisconsin and splits her time between the Sussex office, our other global locations, and her home office as she leads our human resource efforts and engages with the broader team. Prior to joining AVIRE, Shelly was the Chief Human Resources Officer for PlayMonster, a children’s game and toy manufacturer with sites in the US and UK/EU. She's previously held roles of increasing responsibility for Pioneer Metal Finishing, a metal finishing company with 13 sites across the US and Mexico. Shelly has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Marketing, and a Master’s degree in Organizational Development. Shelly enjoys working at AVIRE because of the amazing global workforce, the opportunity to build out the people processes and the growth potential of the organization.
